Do Not Discard Exhibit

This exhibition was inspired by a show that I saw in the San Diego Contemporary Art Museum that featured the works of American artist Tara Donovan. While Donovan works with new, purchased materials to create her outstanding installations and sculptures, the Art 12 students had to create their works out of recycled materials that they collected over a period of three months. The exhibition forms part of an ongoing effort to explore our role as consumers and the waste that we personally generate. The exhibition was on display at the Mary Pratt Gallery in the Langley Fine Arts School during the month of April 2011.
